Runtime Software

Headquarters: Hawaii, United States Main brand: GetDataBack Pro

Runtime Software, LLC has published GetDataBack since 2001 and currently lists it as its flagship product — a deliberately read-only, Windows-hosted tool focused on reconstructing files, names and directory structures rather than a broad multi-purpose storage-analysis suite. Runtime deliberately splits recovery into separate specialist tools rather than one all-in-one application: RAID Reconstructor handles unknown RAID 0/5 geometry, and Runtime separately sells NAS Data Recovery, Captain Nemo and DiskExplorer — each product's capabilities stay attached to that product rather than being folded into GetDataBack Pro.

GetDataBack Pro

Prosumer

A single application for reconstructing files, filenames and directory structures from NTFS, FAT/exFAT, EXT, HFS+ and APFS storage after deletion, formatting, partitioning or logical damage — explicitly read-only toward the source, with recovery-image creation for offline work. Specialist RAID analysis (unknown member order, block size, parity) is provided by the separate RAID Reconstructor product, not GetDataBack Pro itself.

RAID Reconstructor

Prosumer

A focused RAID 0/5 parameter analyzer — it determines unknown start sector, block size, drive rotation and drive order from member disks or images, then hands off the reconstructed array to GetDataBack Pro or Captain Nemo for the actual filesystem recovery. Not a general recovery suite, and not a bundled GetDataBack Pro feature.

Runtime also sells NAS Data Recovery, Captain Nemo and DiskExplorer as separate products. They aren't covered on this site yet — check runtime.org directly if one of those specifically is what a case needs.
